There are a lot of annoying people who whinge and complain for no reason. When you whinge nothing really happens other than you annoy others, and your problems don’t get solved because you’re spending all your time whinging instead of fixing. Life is not perfect and we all whinge about things at some time or another, but you’re more likely to succeed if you think about things from a logical perspective, instead of an emotional whinging perspective. In this podcast Carol and I discuss how we each deal with whinging people. |

Adapting to new situations is an important mechanism for both personal and professional survival. Individuals and groups that do it well, seem to be more successful than those that resist and accept the inevitable slowly. But change is difficult and is almost always resisted. Many ingredients are required to move from the present to your desired change. The process takes time, vision, patience and acceptance. |

Maintaining the drive necessary to get your own business off the ground, especially if you work alone from home, is not easy and the inability to maintain it is one of the reasons so few people succeed. For some, it’s just impossible. They can only perform when they have a boss or a system managing them. |

The individual who decides to establish his or her own small business stands on the cusp of an exciting and potentially rewarding period of life. As well as all the fundamental business decisions they must make, they will also need to assess various aspects of their lives that will likely have a considerable impact on the ultimate success of the entrepreneurial venture. Of these considerations, perhaps none is more significant than enlisting and ensuring support from family, and friends.
